Brain Imaging in Early Alzheimer's Disease (AD)

Purpose

The goal of this project is to develop imaging biomarkers that can identify people at risk for developing AD, help with early diagnosis, prognosis or therapeutic decision-making. The project will continue to implement and develop sophisticated imaging methodologies and test their potential for becoming primary and secondary outcome measures for clinical trials in AD and MCI. Another important goal of this project is to identify the structural brain changes associated with conversion from MCI to AD and from normal cognition to MCI and investigate the associations between cognitive, behavioral and laboratory measures and structural biomarkers in the AD spectrum. This project will utilize data from ADNI and our local imaging database.
